This project aimed to develop and subsequently produce, in an automated and reproducible way, three-dimensional structures of Bonelike® with micro and macroporosity controlled by the injection of a mixture of the raw materials of Bonelike® (hydroxyapatite and bioglass) and a polymer in a mold
in the form of the structure of the macroporous osseous substitute to be obtained and which will depend on the bone defect where the synthetic graft will be placed. After being removed from the mold, the material is appropriate heating cycle in order to promote the complete combustion of the polymer, giving it the microporosity. The combustion of the polymer is followed by the sintering of the ceramic to Bonelike. These structures may thus be used in various medical applications of regeneration and as a support for tissue engineering applications.
